Mount Ngauruhoe (Māori: Ngāuruhoe) is New Zealand's newest and, historically, most active volcano, standing at 2,291 m. There have been no eruptions since 19th February 1975.
This stunning mountain is also known as Mount Doom in The Lord of the Rings.
Difficulty: 4/5
This image was taken by Amanda Beets a few years ago from the Desert Road. The sky was clear apart from moody clouds that were shadowing the mountain, making for an awesome photo.
This painting is more detailed than the {simple} version, for those wanting a more realistic taste of a kiwi icon on their wall, sure to provide you with great satisfaction when you have completed it. We really hope you enjoy this, because we enjoyed creating it for you! We have a less detailed version of this too!
